Pianist Jennifer Bratz brings dedication to the teaching of music, a high level of artistry, and a diverse interest in both solo and collaborative piano to Rocky Mountain College. Professor Bratz has performed throughout the United States, and her programs often reflect her interest in new music. Bratz is currently working with colleague Dr. Sam Hamm and photographer Joe Decker on a collaborative composition/performance project that connects the visual and musical arts. In 2005, Professor Bratz performed in the Colorado premiere of Ned Rorem's "Evidence of Things Not Seen," a monumental song cycle for soprano, alto, tenor, bass, and piano.
Professor Bratz completed her D.M.A. at the University of Colorado at Boulder in piano performance and holds her performer's diploma, M.M., and B.M. degrees from Indiana University.
In her spare time, she likes to climb the high mountains of Colorado and Montana and has completed over 100 peaks above 13,000 feet.
