Biography

Dr. Gross joined the Rocky Mountain College mathematics faculty in 2012 after earning a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. Before college, he served in the United States Marine Corps for several years. 

His immediate research interests lie in number theory, including analytic, algebraic, computational, and transcendental topics. Other interests include the connections between prime numbers and irreducible polynomials and number theoretic applications such as those found in cryptography and computer science. When not teaching or doing mathematics, Dr. Gross enjoys reading, playing ice hockey, carpentry, fly fishing, and spending time with his family.
