Fine Arts

The Fine Arts play a central role at Rocky Mountain College, so much so that every student must take two elective courses in the arts to graduate.  With our outstanding faculty who offer both specialized and survey level courses, you are sure to come back for more.

You might want to take a course in improve acting or mask-making, perhaps you are more of the tech type and feel that a course in lighting or stage makeup would be better.  If it is the stage that you live for, take an auditioning class or better yet, audition for a main stage production with the theatre department.

If it isn't theatre that gets you excited try a semester in the music department with RMC Choir for a chance to sing pieces ranging from Monteverdi to Bono or the Jazz Band to perform in local coffee shops in downtown Billings.  There are also opportunities to sing with small chamber groups or even audition for a professional opera.

For those who perform best through their hands, register quickly for the art department's very popular metal-smith and jewelry course where you can make your wedding ring, a replica of Braveheart's sword, or anything in between.  Take a course in digital photography, oil painting or a weekend art trip to Yellowstone National Park.

If you have an interest, we'll satisfy it; if you don't, we'll make it!  At Rocky Mountain College, our students live their passions --all of them.
