Athletic Traditions

Rocky Mountain College has a rich tradition of athletic excellence. Legendary coaches such as Herb Klindt and Frank Matthew helped pave the way for Battlin' Bear athletics as it is today. Overall, RMC participates in 12 intercollegiate sports that are sanctioned by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Frontier Conference. The men's and women's ski teams are part of the United States Collegiate Association (USCSA) and the Grand Teton Conference. The following is a list of RMC's athletic programs:

In all, nearly one-third of the students at RMC participate in athletics. From football games at Herb Klindt Field, basketball and volleyball games in the Fortin Education Center, and soccer matches at Wendy's Field, RMC's athletic atmosphere is some of the finest in the region.
