Billy "D" in actionDear Prospective Student/Athlete:

Rocky Mountain College is an outstanding private college nestled along the Yellowstone River just outside of the Rocky Mountains. RMC is a great place to further one's educational, social, and athletic growth. At Rocky you will receive a top-of-the line education, including extremely high job placement rates and quality internships. You will have a great opportunity to build positive personal relationships with students and faculty. Our students are valued as individuals; they don't get lost in the crowd. The enthusiasm of this small, private college is awesome! Rocky will grow on you quickly.

Our basketball program here at Rocky Mountain College is rich in tradition and the Frontier Conference is very competitive. We have 8 teams in the league including schools from Montana, Idaho, and Utah. The Battlin' Bears were the 2009 Division I NAIA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS winning college basketball's toughest tournament, which consists of winning five games in just seven days.

We want people in our basketball program that have good character and a sense of commitment towards academics and athletics. We want our players to be great student/athletes, and get that powerful degree from Rocky Mountain College. Our program is based on being TEAM-oriented. We are not a bunch of individuals. We define success not by wins and losses, but how John Wooden described it, "By giving 100% to be the best we are capable of becoming". Throughout the entire year, our #1 goal is to be committed to the Pursuit of Excellence in all areas of life.

In order to compete in college athletics, everyone must be certified and considered eligible by the NAIA Eligibility Center. You can still apply and become accepted at Rocky Mountain College, but you will not be able to participate in athletics until you are cleared by the NAIA.

I hope this short introduction to Battlin' Bear Basketball interests you. My staff and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Please take the time to let us know a little bit about you by filling out our prospective athlete form.
