Long distance running takes dedication and passion. If you are one of the select few who has a passion for the sport I invite you to run for one of Montana's newest cross-country programs. Fall 2010 will be the fourth year of Cross Country at Rocky Mountain College and mark the second year of Distance Track. In a period of three years the program has grown from a total of eight athletes to forty. Not only has the program grown in numbers, but the program has developed into a competitive force in the Frontier Conference, but last year was the first time that Rocky had runners at all three national championships (cross-country, indoor track, and outdoor track). Last year's highlights include finishing second in the conference cross-country championships and sending two individuals to the NAIA national championship race, Cesar's 9th place finish in the NAIA indoor mile, and Noah's 7th place for the NAIA outdoor marathon.
I invite you to come and see the excitement and growth first hand. It is my personal goal to create a program that is well respected in competition. If you want to improve yourself and help a new team excel, this is the place for you. I have over 15 years of competitive running experience in which I have competed against some of America's best.
There are many great opportunities at Rocky Mountain College that you can't find anywhere else. We offer small class sizes, a family environment, great professors, and a community that cares about you and your success. We also boast a 99% placement rate of our graduates within their respective field of study. If you are interested in Rocky Mountain College and want to find out more about the college and the Cross Country program all you have to do is fill out a prospective student-athlete form.
I also encourage you to send a list of your current performances and athletic achievements to me personally at email@example.com.
In order to compete in college athletics, everyone must be certified and considered eligible by the NAIA Eligibility Center. You can still apply and become accepted at Rocky Mountain College, but you will not be able to participate in athletics until you are cleared by the NAIA.
