Festival of Cultures

ROC Logo

Our next Festival of Cultures will be on June 8, 2008 from 10 am to 5 pm on the campus of Rocky Mountain College

Native American Girl Dancing Celebrating diversity and celebrating culture means celebrating family. This is the day to bring everyone with you to the Festival. This trio of Italian cousins spent the day catching up on family and greeting festival guests.

This amazing Festival is a celebration of cultural diversity. 7000+ guestsThree Women join the Festival Board and volunteers on the RMC Green to sing, dance, and sample ethnic delicacies. The two phrases "our community" and "Festival of Cultures" are synonymous on this day.

A full year of meeting and planning and learning precedes each Festival. This working committee brings new, fresh ideas to the Festival each year. They remember both the extended family and the entire community as they plan activities, entertainment, and layout. This event is open to everyone at no cost for attendance, performances, and children's activities.Women Belly Dancing

If your family would like to present your heritage and spend the day together please call and volunteer!

Irish Dancer The entertainment at the Festival is second to none. We have dancing, poetry and music available for you to enjoy all day at no charge. We provide shaded seating areas for our mature guests and free -all day- children's activities in every area. We have introduced a major cultural talent competition for children in elementary school through college. If you are interested for your class, please call the office for details. Vendors offer ethnic crafts representing their cultural background and food and drink from lands around our world. Wander the grounds enjoying your tamale from Mexico, sipping your coffee from Italy while you watch drummers from Japan.

Our Cultural Talent Demonstration fills the RMC Art Gallery in Tech Hall with Children's art literally papering the walls from floor to ceiling! This has become one of the highlights of the Festival experience for our guests -- Professional artists are on hand to discuss the displays with both young artists and Festival goers.
