Campus Safety Services
The Rocky Mountain College Campus Safety Office provides many services to the campus community to maintain a safe and secure environment conducive to all the activities found at an institute of higher learning. These services are in place to help increase awareness and personal safety of individuals while on campus. The Campus Safety Office staff is here to help all individuals at RMC and these services should be taken advantage of whenever needed.
RMC Campus Safety personnel conduct regular foot patrols around the entire campus after the closing of normal business hours. The focus of these patrols is structural security, personal safety of students, staff, and faculty, and to maintain a visually active presence across the campus to deter crime.
Personal Safety Escorts
During on-duty hours of the Campus Safety staff, personal safety escorts are provided to students, staff, and faculty from and to any on-campus location. Escorts will be completed via vehicle or foot patrol. To request an escort, call the Campus Safety Office at 406.238.7293.
Upon request, the Campus Safety Office is equipped to assist any college community member with disabled vehicles. Jumper cables, a portable battery pack, basic tools, and entry devices are available with a valid form of identification and the accompaniment of a Campus Safety staff member. You are strongly urged to register your bicycle with the Campus Safety Office and with the Billings Police Department. Registration is simple, and could prove to be the key component if your bike is lost or stolen. Stop by the Campus Safety Office anytime to register your bike, and go to Billings Police Department website: Bicycle Registration.
Personal safety classes and workshops will be offered throughout the school year and are free to all students, staff, and faculty at Rocky Mountain College. Class information will be posted at numerous locations across campus.
