Students and Faculty Attend National Conference

A handful of students and a majority of faculty attended the American Occupational Therapy Association’s National Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, the first week of April. All faculty that attended also presented about multiple topics. Among these topics, Dr. Kirchen and Tameico both facilitated thought-provoking seminars in which occupational therapy students, practitioners, and professors discussed progressive topics important to the development of the profession. Meanwhile, Dr. Briggs presented about stroke rehabilitation. Rocky OTD student Kristen Jensen, originally from Southern California, had this to say about the conference: “I really enjoyed all the poster sessions along with the expo. Conference allowed me to interact with other professionals that opened up new views about the field. Haing this opportunity is one that no student should pass up” (Kristen Jensen, first-year student from Rancho Cucamonga, California).
