Biography

Dr. Reser was born and raised in the rural town of Carbondale in western Colorado. As a first-generation college student, she received an AAS in Film and Television Production from Scottsdale Community College, a BA and an MA in Communication Studies from Colorado State University, and a PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Utah. She began her career at Simpson College in Iowa, before moving to Billings in 2007 to work at Rocky Mountain College. With over 25 years of teaching experience, she shifted to administrative work in 2020, becoming the Academic Vice President at Rocky Mountain College, although she still teaches part time as a Professor of Communication Studies. She teaches a variety of courses, including Public Speaking, Introduction to Communication Studies, Small Group Communication, Environmental Communication, Theories of Persuasion, and Rhetorical Theory and Criticism. She spends her time away from school enjoying the outdoors, listening to good music, reading, and playing with her exceptionally cute and smart dog, Punkin.
