Understanding Your Costs
Rocky Mountain College calculates cost of attendance using two categories:
Direct costs are billed by RMC – tuition, fees, housing, and meal plans.
Indirect costs are estimated expenses you manage yourself – books, supplies, and personal living expenses.
This is not a bill.
The numbers below are planning figures. Most students do not pay the full published amount after scholarships, grants, and other aid are applied. The typical student’s actual cost is significantly lower than the total shown here.

What's Included in These Costs?
What’s included in tuition, fees, and cost of attendance
Room and board estimates in the table above are based on a Widenhouse double room and the Carte Blanche Meal Plan as a common example. Other housing and meal options are available at different price points.
Allowances for books, supplies, personal expenses, and transportation are not directly billed to the student. However, families should still plan for these expenses. The allowance amounts included in the cost of attendance budget reflect average costs; actual amounts will vary by student.
Families may also want to budget for additional personal costs such as clothing, entertainment, and travel to and from home. The RMC Financial Aid Office currently budgets $5,566 per year for personal expenses per student, though a student may spend more or less depending on lifestyle.
