Summer Term: From Spring Blossoms Summer

Summer at RMC

Students in the inaugural class finished their first term on Thursday, May 2nd. The Summer term begins on Monday, May 13th, and will conclude the second week of July. As per the program curriculum, students will spend the Summer learning about neuroscience; assessing and evaluating clients across the lifespan; and analyzing activities through the lens of occupational therapy. For the latter course, students will work with volunteer standardized patients to analyze everyday activities and how occupational therapists can approach these activities with a clinical mindset. The program believes hands-on, experiential learning is paramount to student learning and their success as future practitioners, so students will “learn by doing”, as they work alongside patients to process various activities, from cooking food to doing laundry.
