Shaydean has been working in student affairs since 2004. Her career includes time working for Rocky Mountain College, in addition to the Residence Life programs at New Mexico State University and Montana State University-Bozeman. She is responsible for the Residence Life Department and works with the staff to deliver programs and services that enhance the academic and social success of the students living on-campus. Shaydean assists with efforts to improve student satisfaction/retention, oversees the campus-wide community development program, and provides leadership and supervision to the Residence Life staff. Her goal is to provide a safe and positive experience for students – one that will be filled with new friendships and opportunities as they make RMC their “home away from home.”  In addition to her leadership of the Residence Life Department, Shaydean provides oversight of the Auxiliary Services functions of Rocky Mountain College to include the Fortin Fitness Center, swim lessons, camps and conferences, event rentals, and student dining plans and serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator. 

Shaydean earned both her Bachelor of Business and Master of Accountancy degrees from Rocky Mountain College, so she has personal experience in what students of RMC need to be successful. Her time outside of work is spent enjoying the outdoors with her family and teaching fitness classes.
