Adjunct Faculty Position in Theater

Rocky Mountain College invites applications for an in-person adjunct faculty member to teach our practicum courses (THR291 and THR391) for the Fall 2026 semester. This is a non-tenure track position, with the possibility for renewal. This position works closely with theater faculty to oversee students participating in live production work, helping guide hands-on learning in a fast-paced, creative environment.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. A background in theater production, technical theater, or a related field is required, as is knowledge of safety standards in theater production environments. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to mentor and support students with varying levels of experience are also needed. Prior experience working in educational contexts, especially at the college level, while not required, is an advantage.

The successful candidate will support and carry out the mission of the college as well as demonstrate a commitment to developing and enhancing a culture of rigor, excellence, and achievement. The start date is August 1, 2026; classes start on August 17, 2026. Salary is commensurate with experience.
