Assistant Clinical Professor-Occupational Therapy Doctorate
October 15, 2024 2024-10-15 18:03The Occupational Therapy Doctorate program at Rocky Mountain College invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Assistant Clinical Professor (non-tenure track). We are seeking a candidate who values being a team player and has an interest in expanding occupational therapy services in a heavily rural, frontier state. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate-level courses in the following areas: mental health, adult intervention, foundational courses (e.g., neuroscience, anatomy and physiology) and other courses at the discretion of the director. Additionally, they will advise and mentor students for research and doctoral capstone experience, facilitate experiential/community-based components of the OTO curriculum, and participate in program and institutional committees and other service activities that support the mission of the college. Faculty members are encouraged to engage in clinical practice, if applicable, and may develop an agenda relative to research and/or scholarly activity.
The successful candidate will support and carry out the mission of the college as well as demonstrate a commitment to developing and enhancing a culture of rigor, excellence, and achievement. An occupational therapy practitioner interested in moving into the academic field is welcome, but requires the ability to understand the challenges and adjustments required in moving from one context to the other. Such a practitioner should be eligible for and acquire a license in the state of Montana. A PhD in Occupational Therapy is preferred, but an OTO or other doctorate-level degree will be considered. This position begins January 1, 2025. Salary begins in the high-$80,000s and is commensurate with experience.
