The Aviation Program at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana invites applications for a full time 12-month position. This person is responsible for leading and managing Flight Operations in the 4-year collegiate aviation program at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. Flight training is conducted under Part 141.  Flight Operations is located at the Billings Airport.  Requirements include overseeing 20 -25 staff including the Chief Flight Instructor, Assistant Chief Flight Instructor, Assistant Director of Flight Operations, Certified Flight Instructors, and Office Manager.  Works with the RMC Director of Maintenance in managing 9 aircraft owned by the College.  Oversees student flight training, scheduling, budgeting, and relationships with the Billings airport, the FAA, Billings ATC, and other stakeholders.  Flying as a CFI in a Check Pilot capacity is required.

Requirements:  Excellent leadership, written and oral communications skills.  Bachelor’s degree and aviation industry experience.  Certified Flight Instructor and Class II FAA medical certificate required.  Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) and Multi Engine Instructor (MEI) preferred.  Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) desired.

Starting salary will be up to $90,000.00 and will be starting in July 2025.
