Thank you for your interest in Rocky Mountain College. Rocky Mountain College is a private, comprehensive college with approximately 1,000 students.
We offer a variety of undergraduate programs with a class size of about 13 students per instructor. The Office of International Programs works closely with all administrative offices and academic departments to provide comprehensive assistance to prospective students and visiting scholars. Faculty and staff are eager to ensure students' academic success.
Note: It is the student’s responsibility to adhere to these deadlines and requirements. Failure to do so may result in a deferred admission or inability to begin studies as planned.
- I-20 Issuance Deadline:
- For Fall Semester: Prospective international students must have their I-20 issued by July 20.
- For Spring Semester: Prospective international students must have their I-20 issued by December 15.
- Application and Documentation Requirements:
- To ensure timely issuance of the I-20, students must complete their admission process and submit all required documentation before the respective deadlines. This includes, but is not limited to, application forms, financial statements, passport copies, and any other required materials.
- Attendance Requirement:
- International students are required to attend the first day of classes for their enrolled semester.
- Late Arrival Policy:
- Students who are projected to arrive later than the first day of classes will have their start date deferred to the following semester. This policy is designed to ensure that students are fully prepared and can start their academic journey at Rocky Mountain College with all necessary resources and support in place.

- These deadlines and attendance requirements are set to help international students transition smoothly into the academic environment at RMC and to ensure they are fully integrated and positioned for success from the beginning of their studies.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements
Admission Criteria:
- Complete the application
- Official or certified transcripts demonstrating a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
- If your education was completed outside the US educational system, RMC can only accept a course evaluation of transcripts/credentials completed by institutions such as International Credential Evaluations (InCred) or World Education Services (WES).
- If applicable, post-secondary institution transcripts (university or vocational college) will need to be evaluated as well if not attended in the US educational system.
- If the official language of your native country is not English, an English Proficiency Test is required – Any of the following are accepted. Minimums of:
- SAT of 940
- TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 72
- Duolingo of 95
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 5.5
- If your SAT, TOEFL, Duolingo or IELTS scores are below the minimum, please submit a one-page essay describing the most important influences in your life and what you hope to gain from studying at Rocky Mountain College.
The Admission Committee will consider students who do not meet the minimum requirements. These applicants will be required to submit additional information, including an essay and two letters of recommendation.
Note: All documents not in English must be translated and certified as true and accurate.
Additional Information
- All accepted students are required to present confirmation of financial support. Submitted documentation will demonstrate you, a benefactor, or a third-party sponsor have sufficient funds to support your educational expenses for the first year. Such expenses may include tuition, fees, room, board, books, and other living expenses.
Graduate Admission Requirements
Along with the information required to apply for each individual graduate program, students seeking graduate admission must submit the following:
- Completed application
- Original or certified bachelor's degree transcripts
- Official results of English language proficiency:
- TOEFL – 570 (paper), 230 (computer), 88 (Internet)
- IELTS – 76
- $40 application fee – online application fee is waived
