Kloie Thatcher Named 2023 NAIA Third Team All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2022-23 Women’s Basketball All-America Teams, in which senior guard Kloie Thatcher was named a Third Team All-American.

All of the selections are made by the All-America Committee and are comprised of first, second and third teams as well as honorable mention. There are 12 members on each of the first three All-America teams.

Thatcher averaged 12.3 points, 3.2 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game this season. Thatcher led the Frontier Conference averaging 35.3 minutes per game and was second in the conference with 66 total three pointers made, accomplishments that led her to being named First Team All-Frontier Conference this season. Her great season helped lead the Battlin’ Bears to a 20-11 record and an NAIA National Championship First Round victory.

Thatcher ends her career at Rocky as one of the all-time greats, being named the 2018-19 Frontier Conference Freshman of the Year, earning five total All-Conference honors, a member of the 2021-22 All-Frontier Conference Defensive Team, two All-American Honorable Mentions, a 2021-22 Frontier Conference Champion, and Rocky Women’s Basketball’s all-time leader in points and assists in a career.
Thatcher was one of five Frontier Conference student-athletes named on the 2022-23 All-America Teams.
