Mac serves as an Assistant Professor of English and the Director of First-Year Composition. His research focuses on rhetorical theory, composition pedagogy, and writing technologies. He’s been published in Rhetoric Review and regularly presents at professional conferences, including the Conference on College Composition and Communication, Rhetoric Society of America Conference, and IEEE ProComm. Before joining the faculty at Rocky, Mac earned his PhD in English with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Writing from the University of Texas at Austin. Before Texas, he earned a master’s degree in English Studies from Illinois State University, which is about an hour’s drive from where he grew up.
