Horse Leasing Arrangements
RMC offers leasing arrangements for both students and local horse owners.
For students:
If you don’t own a horse, you may lease a program horse. Most lease horses are well-trained, show-experienced, and provided by program supporters or local owners. Students matched with a lease horse are responsible for daily care, basic veterinary and farrier expenses, and a standard equestrian program fee.
For horse owners:
If you would like your horse to be part of the RMC program during the school year, we offer a caring, professional environment and regular exercise. Please see our Horse Owner Contract for details and contact our program director for availability.
Horse Donations
Your generosity directly supports RMC’s commitment to professional, hands-on equestrian education.
- We consider donations of sound, healthy horses that fit the curricular needs of our program. Donated horses may be used in riding classes, therapeutic programs, or—if not a curricular fit—may be sold to benefit program development and student scholarships.
- Review our Horse Donation Contract for full criteria and details.
- If you’re interested in donating, please email Emily Brester (equestrian program director) at emily.brester@rocky.edu. Horses on donation trial are evaluated for temperament, training, and suitability.
Other Ways to Support:
- Sponsor a horse (cover board, feed, or health expenses during semester breaks)
- Help us expand our programs by providing equipment, technology, or funding for special events and facility improvements
- Donate to student scholarships, therapeutic riding sponsorships, team travel, or curriculum development
