Biography

Nefeli Ralli completed her B.A. in Philosophy, Psychology, and Pedagogy and her M.A. in Ethics at the University of Athens in Greece. She then earned a second master's degree in Philosophy from California State University, Los Angeles. Finally, she received her Ph.D. in Philosophy at UCLA.  In her dissertation, “Threshold Maintenance and the Structure of Conditional Inference", she developed a framework for understanding classical logical principles in conditional probabilistic settings. While at UCLA, she taught multiple philosophy courses and also taught philosophy and moral values at Mount Saint Mary’s University. Her academic interests include logic, critical thinking, philosophy of language, theory of knowledge, and ethics. She has also studied and taught classical texts, including works by Plato, Aristotle, Homer, and Sophocles, in their original ancient Greek. Outside of academics, she enjoys outdoor activities, movies, and philosophical discussions. She believes that knowledge is best shared through dialogue, where ideas can be tested, challenged, and transformed.
