Rocky Golf Finishes Competition at the RMC Intercollegiate Meet

HENDERSON, Nev.- Rocky Golf wrapped up competition at Reflection Bay Golf Club Wednesday afternoon, as the men finished in fifth and the women finished tied for sixth at the RMC Intercollegiate.

The Rocky men finished in fifth place with a team score of 900. William Dexheimer and Haydn Driver led the way for the men with top-10 individual finishes, as Dexheimer shot a four-over-par 220 to place seventh, while Driver finished right behind him in eighth with a six-over-par 222. Nolan Burzminski tied for 10th with an eight-over-par 224. Aidan McDonagh finished tied for 35th shooting a 236 and Daniel Sigurjonsson finished in 41st with a 239 to round out the Battlin’ Bears men. Jacob Johnson and Leon Doedtmann competed as individuals, shooting 238 and 253, respectively.

The Rocky women finished tied with University of Victoria for sixth place with a total team score of 1006. Valentina Zuleta led the way for the Rocky women, finishing tied for second with a 12-over-par 228. Claire Wright finished in 12th place, shooting a 239. Kadence Fischer placed 40th by shooting a 266, Tyla Potgieter placed 44th by shooting a 274, and Breana Jensen placed 49th by shooting a 289 to round out the Battlin’ Bears. Grace Metcalf competed as an individual, shooting a 251.

On the men’s side, Lewis-Clark State College took the team victory with a team score of 880. UBC-Okanagan’s Justin Towill took the individual victory, shooting a 209.

On the women’s side, University of British Columbia took the team victory with a team score of 933. University of Victoria’s Sukriti Harjai took the individual victory, shooting a 226.

The Battlin’ Bears will be back in action on March 26th as they will travel to Prescott, Arizona to compete in the ERAU Spring Invite.
