Dr. Ivy Fortmeyer, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, was recently awarded The Pittcon Memorial National College Grant from the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh and the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh. She plans to use this grant to purchase an accessory that upgrades Rocky Mountain College’s infrared spectrometer, which will expand its capability and use in chemistry courses.

Dr. Fortmeyer received both her master’s degree and PhD from Princeton University.
