Health Science at Rocky Mountain College is a holistic, science-centered program that prepares you to understand the complex factors shaping wellness, disease, and healthcare delivery. Through a combination of biology, chemistry, anatomy, social sciences, and hands-on coursework, you gain the knowledge to assess and promote health at both the individual and community level.

Health and Human Performance

The Human Performance program is rooted in kinesiology, sport science, and applied exercise knowledge. Students explore how the body moves and adapts, learning to design and deliver evidence-based training and wellness programs. Courses span biomechanics, physiology, nutrition, injury prevention, and psychology of performance, complemented by abundant practical and laboratory experience.

Health & Human Performance K–12 Education

This track is designed for future educators who want to make a difference in schools. You’ll blend exercise science, health, and teaching methods, preparing to lead physical education and health classes—and to coach—in elementary, middle, and high schools.

Coaching

The Coaching minor equips you to motivate and manage athletes with effectiveness and care. Courses cover leadership philosophy, safety, injury prevention, skill acquisition, planning practices, and ethical issues in coaching.
